Men Sell at Lower Prices?

Note that obviously, I’m not the one to conduct this research; it came from here. It was held by psychologists Elaine Hatfield and Russ Clark. They hired actors they considered attractive enough to approach college students of the opposite sex, and try three different pick-up lines on them.

As for the pick-up lines:

1) I’ve been noticing you around campus and I find you attractive. Would you go out with me tonight?

2) I’ve been noticing you around campus and I find you attractive. Would you come over to my apartment tonight?

3) I’ve been noticing you around campus and I find you attractive. Would you sleep with me tonight?

As for the results… *drumroll*

Success Rate of Pick Up Lines

Would you go out with me tonight?

Male: 50%
Female: 50%

Would you come over to my apartment tonight?

Male: 69%
Female: 6% (a drastic decrease)

Would you sleep with me tonight?

Male: 75% (wow!)
Female: 0%

Ha! So then the conclusion to this research is that men certainly don’t give second thoughts about going along with an aggressive girl! On the other hands, us girls who prefer to play hard-to-get are disgusted by such forward actions! What kind of slob would ask a girl to sleep with him just when she met him?

Personally, I agree as a girl (even if my masculinity level is high, shut up). I’d have more than just second thoughts even for the first pick-up line, and I’d outright reject anyone who dares ask me to sleep with him when I don’t even know him. Yes, even if he’s attractive.

So guys, do you agree to this? If a girl asked you to sleep with her, a rather attractive one, in fact, would you accept? Well, I know that if you’re in, say, Indonesia, such things would be too hard to believe, but imagine you’re somewhere else, in college, and a girl comes up to you and… invites you. =| Do you agree with this survey result?

YOU GUYS ARE SO CHEAP =D Or maybe it’s us girls who are too snobby?
