This is it

I’ve finally gotten a proper weblog! Cool. But you see, I haven’t even started because nothing inspirational would come to me. In my previous blog, I’ve posted up some of my more “serious” thoughts, see, so I’d feel bad if I fill this up with fangirling now.

Okay. First, I’ve always wanted to do that thing where you recount what happened during your day, but since the holiday just started, nothing happened today. I just lazed around at home and went on the computer. Oh, I had some nice rissoles my maids made but that’s pretty much it.

Also, my friend from junior high called me up, and asked me whether I wanted to meet up with a school friend of hers, who used to be in USA or something? Not knowing what I got myself into, I said yes.

Stupid, I know.

Since I’m feeling unoriginal and pretty much annoyed, I’ll just copy something more motivational from my old blog. This will be one of my rare somewhat philosophical entries.

There are only two things you should do when you find yourself unable to do something:

1) Do your best to be able to do that something

Well, uh, duh? This is the advice most people would offer. If you want the talent, work your ass off for it. It’s not going to simply knock on your door. Feel free to complain about your inadequateness at this particular field but remember to keep working anyway.

2) Dismiss it and move on to something else

Easier said than done (think “sour grapes”). A lot of people are perfectionists by default; when they discover their inability to do something, they get pissed, including yours truly. But we should all acknowledge the fact that everyone has things they’re good at and things they’re not, blah blah blah. Therefore, if you have no interest in working hard for it, don’t. Because all your energy and other investments will go to waste unless you give 100%.One thing you should not do: complain and not do anything about it! Unless you use complaining as a stress relief, not a method of angsting out.
That’s it for today. Aren’t I amusing /lame sarcasm/
